FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL and 4th Annual COSTUMES FOR A CAUSE
BENEFITS MISSING CHILDREN

LATROBE, PA, September 26, 2012 – American Association For Lost Children, Inc. (AAFLC) is hosting their 4th Annual Costumes For A Cause – 5K Race and Kiddy Run at Keystone State Park in Derry, PA on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 12:00 noon.

The annual Family Fun Festival will have free food, live entertainment, pumpkin painting, face painting and much more. There will be many door prizes, treats to taste, and loads of fun! A costume contest will be held for kids and adults alike. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 costumes, age groups 16 & under and 17 & older.

Runners and walkers will race in a 5K Run, 5K Walk and Kiddy Mile proceeds go towards finding and rescuing missing children. Medals are awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers overall for each race, and the top 3 finishers in each age category. Costume attire, for the racers, is optional.

The Family Fun Festival and Costumes For A Cause race bring together friends, families, businesses, schools, faith-based groups . . . people from all walks of life – all aimed at furthering American Association For Lost Children’s efforts to find and rescue more missing children throughout the United States and abroad.

The event is being held at Keystone State Park near Pavilion #1. The Park is located in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, three miles south of the intersection of PA 981 and US 22.  Race event registration forms are available online at www.aaflc.org under Events. “American Association For Lost Children combines a relentless passion with a quarter of a century of experience at finding and rescuing missing children through physical searches and hands-on investigations,” said Patricia Moore, Executive Director of AALFC. “Funds raised through this event enable the charity to continue to rescue more missing children.”

“We need many volunteers to make this event a success.” Said Ms. Moore. Volunteers are needed for this event.

AAFLC is a non-profit charity founded in 1987 to find missing and abducted children. To date, AAFLC has rescued more than 135 children from all over the US and in countries such as Mexico, Korea, Germany and Lebanon. The charity has been featured on Good Morning America, 48 Hours, Inside Edition and Life magazine, to name a few.

AAFLC is a local charity, but has a worldwide reach. Children are rescued free of charge to the family. The charity operates entirely on donations and fundraising efforts.  Thank you for your support! www.aaflc.org
