Aspinwall Toastmasters Win 3 Awards in Speech Competition

Aspinwall Toastmasters Club Takes Home 3 Awards at Recent Speech Competition


Aspinwall (O’Hara Twp.), PA, March 6, 2014 - Aspinwall Toastmasters participated in the Area’s local speech competition and took three of the four available awards! Competition begins with club contests and winners continue competing through the Area, Division, and District levels. The two competitions held recently were for Evaluation and International Speeches. The Evaluation Competition requires participants to compete on providing a good evaluation with analysis, recommendations, and encouragement  The International Speech Competition requires participants to compete on speech content, organization, voice quality, and gestures.

Congratulations to Jennifer Calihan who won first place in International Speeches and Alexandra Sabina who received a first place award in Evaluation and third place in International Speeches. Jennifer is a local mother of four with an interest in the connection between food and wellness. Alexandra is a Mentor and a Public Speaker who shares her expertise of "How To Eliminate Fear & Failure From Our lives through Virtuosity."

These two local residents will compete in the division competitions on March 8, 2014 in Cranberry, PA.
