Pittsburgh, PA– The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces new pre-show talk “Know the Show Before You Go” will be presented on select show performance nights* for the 2012-2013 PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh series.  ‘Know the Show’ will be hosted by Chris Rawson, senior theater critic for KDKA-TV and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Mr. Rawson will discuss various subjects such as: How do you prepare to see a Broadway musical? What sort of information (and attitude) is useful, and what might get in the way? What might help you enjoy the shows being presented in the 2012-2013 PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh series? How do you know you've had a good time?

Janis Burley Wilson, Vice President of Education and Community Engagement with The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, believes this ‘inside’ scoop on the performances will provide an added value for the audience.  “The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s desire to present world class art on our stages and to create meaningful arts experiences for the community is further enhanced by connecting with our audience before they enter our theaters. Who better to help our audience ‘Know the Show Before They Go’ than theatre expert Chris Rawson,” comments Burley Wilson.

‘Know The Show Before You Go’ is free and open for all PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh ticket holders.  The talks are scheduled one hour before show time on select nights*.  Refreshments will be served.  The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Arts Education Center is located at 805-807 Liberty Avenue- a few blocks from the Benedum Center.
