Grandma’s Kitchen Wisdom premieres December 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. on WQED-TV
PITTSBURGH—Grandmothers have been sharing knowledge about food and cooking with their families long before there were food “experts” on television. In WQED’s latest QED Cooks marathon called, Grandma’s Kitchen Wisdom (premiering Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. on WQED-TV) join host Chris Fennimore as he pays homage to these epicurean pioneers by featuring delicious food, remembrances and traditions from guest cooks who will share special secrets and family treasures with viewers. Recipes, stories and tips are currently being accepted through November 26 and may be submitted via e-mail to recipes@wqed.org or by postal mail to:

From the over 100 QED Cooks marathons, 16 have been distributed to public television stations around the country through PBS and American Public Television (APT) as the America’s Home Cooking series. These cookbooks are available for purchase from SHOP WQED by calling 1-800-271-1307 or by going to shopwqed.org. QED Cooks also has its own webpage complete with selected recipes, a full list of available cookbooks and a monthly blog written by Fennimore.
