Discover how much fun it is to sing with the Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus.

Our chorus is part of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women singers who meet regularly to rehearse, socialize, perform and sing a cappella music, barbershop style.  Each week, Sweet Adelines International encourages women all over the world to reach their full singing potential.  There are unlimited training and educational opportunities as well as spectacular performance and entertainment possibilities.

Join us any Monday evening at 7 pm to experience the joy of singing with 65 other women.

Rehearsals are at the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, 1205 Ridge Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108.

Sounds of Pgh Chorus Donates to Wig Fund

The Sounds of Pittsburgh chorus has donated $400 to the Magee Women’s Cancer Center’s wig fund from the proceeds of the annual show.  Fifty dollars will be given to eight women to help them purchase an attractive wig. Information about Bonnie Diver’s wig charity fund, Hair Peace,  will also be given to them for more funding for those who cannot afford to purchase a wig and pay for cancer treatments.

Join the award winning Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus for an evening of singing, feasting, getting acquainted, and all-round fun on Mondays, January 21st and 28th, 2013.

Sweet Adeline International choruses all over the world are holding Global Open Houses to encourage women of all ages to experience the joy of a cappella singing in the barbershop style.

The Sounds of Pittsburgh chorus is directed by David Wallace, a Master Director and music arranger who also is a member of the men’s International winning quartet, Rapscallions and his new quartet, The Jones Boys.

Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus to Perform

SOUNDS OF PITTSBURGH CHORUS Sweet Adelines International Join the award winning Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus for its annual show October 13th at 3:00 pm in the Ambridge Area High School.   Road Trip USA: A Celebration of American Music and Dance will take you on a musical tour across the country.  The chorus, under the direction of Master Director, David Wallace, will be joined on their tour by the following guest performers:  Dynasty, a favorite of the Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus and a two-time regional medalist Sweet Adelines quartet, Studio 4, a men’s barbershop quartet from the Pittsburgh area and the Steel Town Stompers, a Lindy Hop dance group.  Benefiting from the proceeds will be the Bethlehem Haven, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that has been helping homeless women in the Pittsburgh area rebuild their lives for the past 30 years.  They provide emergency shelter, health and employment services, and continuing support.Tax deductible tickets can be purchased online at www.soundsofpgh.org.
