ANTIQUES ROADSHOW PITTSBURGH EPISODES PREMIERE ON WQED-TV

PITTSBURGH—ANTIQUES ROADSHOW premieres the first of three Pittsburgh episodes taped last summer at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on Monday, February 13 at 8 p.m. on WQED-TV. Subsequent episodes will air on February 20 and 27 at 8 p.m.

In advance of the exciting premiere, QED Morning Show host Jim Cunningham of Classical WQED-FM 89.3 (LIVE stream available here) will interview ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Executive Producer Marsha Bemko between 6-10 a.m. on February 13.

Later that evening, Emmy®-Award winning WQED producer Pierina Morelli takes viewers “behind-the-scenes” of this PBS icon series with the half-hour documentary episode of Experience: Antiques Roadshow Comes to Town! Pittsburgh with a look at how producers set up for the big event, a segment on people who had items appraised, and interviews with host Mark Walberg, appraisers and Executive Producer Bemko.

The Pittsburgh episodes of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW include several “firsts” for the program. In the show’s history it is the first time a centenarian guest was recorded and that web exclusive video appraisals are available, including this extraordinary moment.

The sixteenth season of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW kicked-off on January 2 in Tulsa, Oklahoma (where the show had its most valuable find ever!) and Eugene, Oregon for the past three weeks. After the Pittsburgh episodes air, the season will finish up with:

• El Paso, Texas on March 26, April 2, 9

• Atlanta, Georgia on April 16, 23, 30

• Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 7, 14, 21

Special edition episodes called “Junk in the Trunk, “Cats & Dogs,” and”Greatest Gifts” will also air this season but have yet to be scheduled.
