“The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is pleased to bring back the national tour of WICKED to the Benedum Center in January,” said Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Vice President of Programming, Paul Organisak. “The PNC / Broadway Across America series is the perfect partner with WICKED and it is a pleasure to present, and provides unbridled excitement to audience members, both young and young at heart.  Hats off to this timeless treasure of a production. We look forward to seeing our Cultural District teaming with people seeking to journey through this untold story of the witches of Oz.”

With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Godspell, Academy Award®-winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman (“My So Called Life,” “Once And Again” and “thirtysomething”), WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, is directed by two-time Tony® Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Vagina Monologues) and features musical staging by Tony® Award winner Wayne Cilento (Aida, The Who’s Tommy, How To Succeed…).
