“One of the new trailblazers …”
 - John Schroeter, Founder of Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine

With so many guitarists trying to make their mark these days, it’s not easy being a “trailblazer.” Yet, that perfectly defines Tim Farrell.  His fingerstyle playing and original compositions display an elegant simplicity that celebrates the purity of the acoustic guitar. Tim is a rare kind of musician, with the ability to both entertain an audience and inspire future generations of players.

As a performer Tim has entertains audiences internationally. Maintaining an active performing schedule, he has appeared in a variety of concert venues such as the Kimmel Center, Montreal Guitar Show, Carnegie Center, and Hard Rock Live among others. He also performs benefit concerts, festivals, workshops, corporate events and television programs as well as performing live on many radio programs as a featured artist including Echoes and Kid's Corner, both popular syndicated shows heard on hundreds of Public Radio stations nationwide.

Tim performs as a solo artist and also has shared the stage with such notable artists as Les Paul, George Benson, Jean Luc Ponty, Rick Wakeman, Alex DeGrassi, Jake Shimabukuru, California Guitar Trio and many more. In addition to his solo performances, Tim offers several different concert programs such as "StringSongs" that includes bass player extraordinaire Michael Manring and Grammy Award winner Pat Robinson on keyboards. Tim also offers live multimedia programs such as "America the Beautiful" and "Hearts Content."

In the studio, Tim applies his mastery of technique and precision, while keeping the focus on the melodic power of his compositions. Fans and reviewers alike have praised his recorded works. In describing Tim’s recordings, Carla Van Dyke, a New Jersey radio personality said it conveys “Uncommonly beautiful guitar playing in its delicacy and power … I say it is Five Star Gourmet Guitar Listening.” His most recent album CODAS was voted BEST OF ECHOES 2010 in the Listener’s Poll.

Tim writes "memorable melody lines that go beyond technique," says Billboard magazine. John Diliberto the host of Echoes Radio says "Tim Farrell brings a melodic sensibility to his compositions that makes him stand apart from most of the fingerstyle crowd." And according to NAV Magazine, "Tim Farrell's melodies lay easily on the ear."
