PITTSBURGH, PA -- Brian Brown unveils a series of new, primarily figurative paintings that are painstakingly detailed using traditional oil painting techniques. His imagery is inspired by dreams, memories, popular culture and pure unabashed imagination.

Brian Brown attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and earned a distinguished award upon graduation. He earned an M.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010. Since then, Brian Brown has exhibited his paintings in Pittsburgh at Fe Gallery, the Miller Gallery, and in Sewickley, PA, as well as in galleries in New York City. In 2011, in a project supported by the Sprout Fund, he created a mural on Commerce Street depicting the East Liberty community.
