PITTSBURGH CULTURAL TRUST ANNOUNCES
NEW PRESENTING SPONSOR FOR
6TH ANNUAL PITTSBURGH JAZZLIVE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
 CITIZENS BANK
CITIZENS FINANCIAL GROUP, INC CHOOSES TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
JUNE 24-26, 2016 | CULTURAL DISTRICT | PITTSBURGH, PA
Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is pleased to announce that for the first time in its six year history, the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival (PJLIF) will have a presenting sponsor.  The free festival that offers two ticketed performance options will be held June 24-26, 2016.  For three-days, internationally-renowned musicians will perform at one of the most highly anticipated festivals in the country in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to support such an iconic cultural event,” said Daniel K. Fitzpatrick, President of Citizens Bank for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.  “At Citizens Bank, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work, which is why we’re proud to help continue the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival’s tradition of offering free access to performances by some of the most well-known jazz
artists in the world.”

“The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is grateful for the generous support of Citizens Bank,” shared Janis Burley Wilson, Vice President of Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships and Director of Jazz Programs for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.  “Citizens’ commitment to community involvement and to enhancing the quality of life for all citizens is parallel to the vision and goals of the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival.  We are honored to have them on board as a presenting sponsor for the Festival.  Together we will continue contributing to the region’s art and culture while strengthening the communities that both our organizations serve.”

The new presenting sponsorship will enable the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to maintain a level of overall accessibility and inclusion at the annual festival that increasingly attracts and present internationally renowned artists and vendors.  Visibility of the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival will also increase as a result of promotions available throughout the region and nation at participating Citizens Bank locations.  The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will provide increased visibility for Citizens through its marketing and advertising initiatives.  The Trust will also assist in providing festival attendees with access to appropriate financial information offered by Citizens.
Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival Performances will take place in a variety of settings: outdoor stages, ticketed special engagements and indoor “gigs” at over 20 small venues throughout the Cultural District.  The festival is a free event that includes two ticketed performances (to be announced in late May) and is open to the public. The ticketed special engagement performances will take place indoors. All three outdoor stages, the Artist Market and opening night Jazz Crawl are free and open to the public.

The Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival attracts more than 20,000 attendees from around the country each year.

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has overseen one of Pittsburgh’s most historic transformations: turning a seedy red-light district into a magnet destination for arts lovers, residents, visitors, and business owners. Founded in 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is a non-profit arts organization whose mission is the cultural and economic revitalization of a 14-block arts and entertainment/residential neighborhood called the Cultural District. The District is one of the country’s largest land masses “curated” by a single nonprofit arts organization. A major catalytic force in the city, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is a unique model of how public-private partnerships can reinvent a city with authenticity, innovation and creativity. Using the arts as an economic catalyst, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has holistically created a world-renowned Cultural District that is revitalizing the city, improving the regional economy and enhancing Pittsburgh’s quality of life. Thanks to the support of foundations, corporations, government agencies and thousands of private citizens, the Cultural Trust stands as a national model of urban redevelopment through the arts.
