Mon Ducky Race Prizes Announced

3rd Annual Mon Ducky Race

BROWNSVILLE, Pa. - The time has come for the Mon Ducky Race, August 6 at 3:30 p.m., held at the Brownsville Riverside Wharf. The Mon Ducky Race, hosted by the Brownsville Area Revitalization Corp. (BARC), will be held in conjunction with the Brownsville Annual Community Festival.

To participate in the Mon Ducky Race, one must purchase a numbered $5 ticket. Purchases can be made directly from Rt. 40 Classic Diner, Fayette Podiatry, Pixel's Restaurant, the BARC office at 69 Market St. in Brownsville, at any BARC-sponsored events including Music on the Mon and the Brownsville Farmers Market, during the Brownsville Annual Community Festival at the BARC membership booth or by calling 724-785-9331.

There will be approximately 1,000 ducks dropped off the Inter-County Bridge into the Monongahela River and racing up to the Brownsville Riverside Wharf. Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 'lame' ducks.

Prizes:

1st- A weekend in Pittsburgh including lodging, dinner, and a gas card

2nd- A $250 gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods

3rd- One $25 gift card to Route 40 Classic Diner, one $25 gift card to TJ Enterprises, and two tickets to the Brownsville Drive-in

4th- One $25 gift card to Wal-Mart

'Lame Duck'- A BARC gift basket
