Brownsville Annual Community Festival and Mon Ducky Race Announces Schedule
BROWNSVILLE, Pa. - The Brownsville Borough and the Brownsville Area Revitalization Corp. (BARC) are joining forces once more to host the Brownsville Annual Community Festival and Mon Ducky Race August 6, starting at 11 a.m. The festival will be held in downtown Brownsville and the Brownsville Riverside Wharf.
The schedule for the festival is as follows:
11:00 AM- Parade
1:00 PM- Dee Dee's Dance Studio
2:00 PM- Terry Sheehan School of Dance
3:30 PM- The Mon Ducky Race
4:00 PM- Nancy McKeen Bluz Machine
5:00 PM- Car Show Awards
All day activities include carnival games, a petting zoo, a car show, a bounce house, food and craft vendors and a dunk tank. This year's dunk tank will give Brownsville the opportunity to dunk Charlie Perkins (Brownsville Borough Council), Rocky Brashear (BASD director), Andy Dorsey (BASD director), Jason Novak (local business owner), Troy Rice (Redstone Police Officer), Mike Mucy (constable), and John Brant (police officer).
BARC is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to achieve economic development through historic preservation, heritage tourism, outdoor recreation, community stewardship, education, youth advancement and the arts.
11:30 AM- Rotary Talent Show
12:30 PM - Brownsville Area High School Cheerleaders
