“Shakespeare’s Shorts” BYOB
Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks' BYOB ("Bring Your Own Bard") series presents“Shakespeare’s Shorts” on Thursday February 24 at 7 PM at The Te Cafe in Squirrel Hill. Celebrate the shortest month with an evening of short scenes, speeches and monologues from Shakespeare’s greatest plays (or his obscure ones!) “Shakespeare’s Shorts” is an informal scene night in which professional actors and non-actors alike take a crack at their favorite Shakespeare pieces. Extra readings will be on hand in case last minute inspiration strikes.
Readers and audience members alike are encouraged to bring copies of their favorite Shakespeare plays and join in the reading of sonnets, scenes, and songs. Fun for the whole family. (Kids are welcome). A tax-deductible donation is suggested at the door.
