News Anchors are honored for their contributions Away from the news desk at annual fundraiser

Pittsburgh, PA, September 3, 2010:  Addison Behavioral Care is a non-profit organization that understands the importance of charitable giving.  Becasue of the commitment and dedication it tales to volunteer and contribute to organizations like Addison, we will recognize those who always recognize others, News Anchors.  On October 21, 2010, Addison will honor local newscasters for their charitable efforts at the Anchors Away Awards Ceremony.  The internal chair is Pittsburgh's own Corey O'Connor, Community Representative for US Congressman Mike Doyle and current board member of Addison Behavioral Care.

News anchors from local stations (WPXI, KDKA, WTAE and WQED) will be awarded for their involvement with charitable organizations.  Honorees include Tamyka Artist, Chris Moore, Brenda Waters, Sheldon Ingram, Tonia Caruso and more.  The Keynote speaker for the evening will be Michael Bernarding, Executive Director of ALS Western PA and Chairman, Power of 32.  Michael's dedication to raising awareness for charity will highlight the events of the evening which include live entertainment and dinner.

The recognition ceremony will take place at the Churchill Country Club Thursday, October 21, 2010, with a reception beginning at 6:30 pm and the Awards Ceremony at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are on sale now.  All proceeds benefit programs of Addison Behavioral Care, whose mission is to provide culturally sensitive services to infants, youth, adults and families, helping them focus on their quality of life.  Addison Behavioral Care specializes in substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment.  For more information, email events@abcpgh.org or call 412-731-2353 x112.
