A PINK TIE AFFAIR
Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death for all women and the leading cause of death in women between the ages of 40 and 55, with approximately one in nine women developing the disease in her lifetime. Both its cause and the means for its cure remain undiscovered. Increased awareness means more survivors.
The Pink Tie Affair event is an effort to raise the awareness and help a few of our fellow sisters in the Pittsburgh area. The thought of having this type of event was started by Terry DiBattista in an effort to help some of her dearest friends who are coping with the mental, physical and financial issues that accompany this disease.
The Pink Tie Affair will be held on:
April 26th, 2008 at the Double Tree Hotel located at 8402 University Boulevard in Moon Township, PA. from 7pm to 1am. The ticket price includes hors d’ oeuvres, desserts and a drink coupon. There will be live entertainment by local jazz performers, Lisa Ferraro and Antoinette Manganas. In addition, DJ Adele will be there to ensure those that want to dance the night away will have the ability to do so. Two round trip air fares to Chicago and a 2 night stay at Hotel Indigo Chicago Gold Coast will be given away as a door prize. There will be a Chinese auction where you will have the opportunity to win great prizes as well. We are committed to raising $15,000 and we are asking you to make a commitment as well. Please consider making a tax-deductable donation to help us achieve this goal.
