Pittsburgh, PA— The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is pleased to announce the 2017-2018 PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh season. This series is presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and Broadway Across America. The 2017-2018 season proudly features Pittsburgh premieres of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s LOVE NEVER DIES The Phantom Returns and SCHOOL OF ROCK, THE BODYGUARD, WAITRESS and Disney’s ALADDIN, along with THE COLOR PURPLE, presented for the first time on this series, and returning favorite RENT in the 20th Anniversary Tour. Season specials, part of the 2017-2018 season, feature returning Broadway favorites MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, DR. SEUSS’ HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL, the Broadway sensation WICKED and Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA, presented for the first time as part of the PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh series.
The PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh series features new touring Broadway shows and revivals direct from New York City stages. The season regularly showcases the most current Tony Award®-winning performances along with returning blockbuster events and time-honored classics to all ages. Offering something for everyone, these seven season presentations and four Broadway specials contribute to the city’s reputation as a major destination for arts, culture, and entertainment, attracting millions of visitors each year.
