Small Business Boot Camp Added to PA Conference for Women

Pennsylvania Conference for Women Adds Small Business Boot Camp

Philadelphia – June 27, 2011 – The Pennsylvania Conference for Women announces an additional day of programming specifically designed for current and aspiring small business owners —The Pennsylvania Conference for Women Spark & Hustle Small Business Boot Camp on Monday, Oct. 24.

The Boot Camp is brought to you through a partnership with the Pennsylvania Conference for Women and Tory Johnson, “Good Morning America” workplace contributor and CEO of Women For Hire and Spark & Hustle. The day will feature solo presenters, panel discussions, interactive exercises, structured networking and vendor exhibits.

“Spark & Hustle is proud to partner with the Pennsylvania Conference for Women to host an event specifically designed for women who are starting and growing small businesses,” said Johnson. “In this jam-packed day, we’ll provide practical tools, easy to implement tactics, peer networking and inspirational speakers—all designed to help attendees achieve their small business goals.”

Registration for the Small Business Boot Camp is $225 and includes a ticket to The Pennsylvania Conference for Women. The eighth annual Pennsylvania Conference for Women will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Women’s rights pioneer Gloria Steinem; Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress America Ferrera; President and CEO of CARE USA, Helene Gayle; former Olympic athlete and WNBA player Marion Jones; life coach and O, The Oprah Magazine, columnist Martha Beck are keynote speakers.

The Pennsylvania Conference for Women features engaging workshops and panel discussions that cover a vast range of topics specifically designed for women, a new Health & Wellness Pavilion and networking opportunities at the Career Pavilion, which include community leader “Meet Ups,” Mentor Match program and one-on-one resume critiques.

To-date, AmeriHealth Mercy, Amtrak, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Clear Channel Radio, FedEx Ground, Highmark Blue Shield, PA Wine and Spirits, PECO, PNC Bank, Sunoco PA, Thomas Jefferson Hospital and Wells Fargo will serve as sponsors of the Conference.
