PRE-SHOW EDUCATION PROGRAM PREPARES PATRONS
FOR 2013-2014 PNC BROADWAY ACROSS AMERICA - PITTSBURGH SERIES
PITTSBURGH, PA: The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is pleased to announce the 2013-2014 Know The Show Before You Go program schedule for the 2103-2014 PNC Broadway Across America – Pittsburgh Series. Know The Show Before You Go is hosted by Christopher Rawson, senior theater critic for KDKA-TV and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Ticket holders are invited to join Mr. Rawson and cast/company members at the Trust Arts Education Center (805-807 Liberty Avenue, 15222) on select evenings prior to PNC Broadway Across America – Pittsburgh performances. Know The Show Before You Go provides educational and background information on each of the Broadway performances, aiming to further deepen each patron’s theatrical experience. PNC Broadway Across America – Pittsburgh is a presentation of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Broadway Across America and the Pittsburgh Symphony.
“We are pleased to present this program for the 2013-2014 Season, it was so successful last year,” shared Janis Burley Wilson, Vice President of Education and Community Outreach for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. “Last season, we were joined by cast and/or company members from hit shows such as THE BOOK OF MORMON. Successful Q&A sessions also included director, choreographer, and Pittsburgh native, Kathleen Marshall who joined the pre-show discussion before the opening night of ANYTHING GOES. We appreciate the personal relationships Mr. Rawson has forged with so many artists throughout his career. His experience and relationships add to the unique and special exchange.”
“I enjoy participating in the program, adds Christopher Rawson. “It enables me to provide a non-critical analysis of the productions. I love theater, and I love sharing insightful information with patrons who share in in the same.”

Admission to Know The Show Before You Go is free for all tickets holders and takes place one hour before show time (typically on Tuesday evening, unless there is a holiday) at the Trust Arts Education Center, located just around the corner from the Benedum Center at 805-807 Liberty Avenue, Downtown Pittsburgh. Cast and Company member attendance is subject to availability. Times are subject to change. Light refreshments will be served.
