Join Us for Brownsville’s Neighborhood/Dunlap Creek Clean-up
BROWNSVILLE, Pa. – As part of the Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania The Brownsville Area Revitalization Corp. (BARC) and Brownsville Neighborhood Watch are coordinating a Spring Clean-up for downtown Brownsville and a portion of Dunlap Creek. Please join us on Saturday May 14th in the Market St. parking lot in downtown Brownsville from 9AM-12PM to participate. Supplies and waste services will be provided through the Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
The Great American Cleanup of PA is a statewide cleanup campaign involving local and state government, businesses, waste haulers, and environmental civic groups. The PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and PennDOT in cooperation with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, Inc. are sponsoring the Great American Cleanup of PA.
Brownsville Area Revitalization Corp. (BARC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to achieve economic development through historic preservation, heritage tourism, outdoor recreation, community stewardship, education, youth advancements and the arts. WHERE: Brownsville North Side Fire Company
TOPIC: Brownsville’s Neighborhood Watch will welcome representatives from the Fayette County Crime Stoppers to their October meeting. The representatives will address the mission of their organization and the role the public can play in making Fayette County a safer place to live. Mayor Ward will host a question and
answer session regarding crime stopping in the borough. Please plan to attend, as this meeting will be an excellent opportunity for residents to ask questions and voice concerns about crime issues that we are facing. The Neighborhood Watch and Mayor Ward welcome everyone from Brownsville Borough and our surrounding communities to this special event. We want to hear from you! As always, Neighborhood Watch will serve refreshments following the meeting. We welcome all existing and prospective members.

Who: All residents of Brownsville are encouraged to participate
What: Brownsville Neighborhood Watch is hosting a "National Night Out" event
When: Tuesday, August 3rd at 8:00 P.M
Where: We are asking that every resident of Brownsville turn on their porch light at 8 PM
Additional Info: Our goal for this event is to communicate the message of "Neighbors Watching out for One Another"
Neighborhod Watch is also hosting a walk (same date and time). There will be two groups of walkers.
Northside Residents: Meet in the rear of the North side Fire Department between 7:30 and 7:45 PM. Please bring a flashlight.
Southside Residents: Meet in the parking lot of the Southside Fire Department on Water Street between 7:30 and 7:45 PM. Please bring a flashlight.
