YWCA Young Leaders Serve ‘Cocktails for a Cause’
Public Invited to Happy Hour Fundraiser set for Thursday, August 23

PITTSBURGH, PA (August 17, 2012):  The YWCA Greater Pittsburgh Young Leaders Board will be joined by local celebrities to serve special martinis at the Cocktails for a Cause fundraiser on Thursday, August 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at SoHo, 203 Federal Street.

The public is invited to attend this first-ever event hosted by the YWCA Young Leaders Board. No pre-registration is necessary. Guests will also have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win exciting prizes. All money raised will go to the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh’s programming and advocacy to empower women and eliminate racism.

“We invite the Pittsburgh community to come out and enjoy a chic evening of networking, banter, and awareness-raising,” said Kathy Risko, President of the YWCA Young Leaders Board. “Plus, raise some money for a good cause.” Event Co-chairs Kezia O. L. Taylor and Tamara Torbert echo those sentiments and “invite everyone to have a good time.”

The YWCA Greater Pittsburgh Young Leaders Board is a collective of dynamic young women leaders who are working to eliminate racism and empower women by promoting and advancing the mission of the YWCA among their peers and in our community.

The YWCA Greater Pittsburgh strengthens our community by creating and advancing opportunities for all women to seek equality and self-sufficiency.  To learn more about the YWCA’s programs and services, visit www.ywcapgh.org or call 412-391-5100.
